Belgian Red Cross-Flanders (BRC-Fl) supports international actors in Sub-Saharan Africa in delivering high-impact programs in First Aid, Blood, Plasma, and Epidemic Preparedness. Within the Knowledge Unit of our International Department, we develop evidence-based tools in our expertise area, provide technical support for implementation, and continuously evaluate the impact of our operations.

As a Technical Project Manager in our Knowledge Unit, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the Belgian Red Cross-Flanders’ know-how to the world, helping save lives and strengthen health systems in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond.
In this role, you will focus on blood and plasma expertise, working hand-in-hand with our Flemish blood bank specialists and local partners to:
You will manage the planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of projects, ensuring they are data-driven, evidence-based, and deliver meaningful results. Working closely with our Center for Evidence-Based Practice, you will also engage in research to continuously refine and improve our services.
Beyond the technical side, you will be instrumental in expanding RKVI’s funding base by identifying and developing new partnerships — with foundations, corporate donors, private philanthropists, and innovative financing mechanisms — enabling us to scale up our impact and reach more communities.
